How to Arrive
Chichén Itzá is on the main highway between the mayor destinations of Cancun and Mérida. By Bus:

The bus is a really good option to visit Chichén Itzá from Cancun and Merida. From Merida: ADO buses leave from CAME bus station( in street 69 coin with street 70) cost about $10 to 15 USD one-way and the travel time is between 1 h 30 minutes. From Valladolid: Hourly buses stop at Chichén Itzá and costs about $3 USD

By Car:

Chichén Itzá is on the main highway between the mayor destinations of Cancún and Mérida just in the middle of the north of the Yucatan peninsula and the highway cost aroud 18 USD per way. If you have time you can take, the "libre' road (public road) that runs parallel to the toll highway goes through and by many villages and gives a better feel for the area, only be alert for animals and pedestrians on the road, and los topes "speed bumps". If you're planning drive after dark we recommend you to take the highway. Consider about $3 USD parking fee at Chichén Itzá.
