In Cancun each vacation time people flock for its world-famous nightclubs like Coco Bongo, Mandala, The City, Dady’O, Cuncrowl and Palazzo among the big ones all in the Party Center. There are also countless small bars, Sr. Frogs, La Vaquita and salsa clubs, & lively restaurants that take on more of a bar atmosphere during the evenings. In Downtown Cancun, Mambo Cafe or Sabor Latino are the biggest clubs (both are Latin rhythms clubs), but there are many small, open-air bars & restaurants on Yaxchilan Avenue, or near El Parque de Las Palapas that are quite lively. Every one can find one that feeds better, definitely every one can find a “watering hole”. Most of the nightclubs in La Zona Hotelera only sell Open Bar (Barre Libre) for about 45 USD. In the smaller bars charge considerably less, in an attempt to lure you into their place. You will find bottle service and VIP areas in the large clubs, but the smaller bars usually just serve you by the glass.
